A documentary about Detroit's struggle to create a "human-scaled city for a post-industrial world," featuring many of the visionary grassroots organizers who make up Grace Lee Boggs' political ecosystem in Detroit. The Directors Melissa Young and Mark Dworkin will be in attendance, and we will have a discussion about our own community's struggles and how we might "re-imagine" Oakland's future. Event will be a fundraiser for the Pay-It-Forward-Bank and will help with the filmmakers' travel costs. $5-20 at the door, but no one turned away.
